The Bipolar Child

This is a LONG book, it is a very detailed book. If you know your child has Bipolar Disorder or you don't need HELP now on how to deal with things then this is a great book to read. It has all kinds of info on symptoms and what it is. It has info on what causes it and what is happening to them that causes the things you see. It has info on treatment, medications, alternative treatments, diets, etc. It gives you legal info, support info, a lot of school information, information on the different types of doctors you can use, how to chose and so much more. This is like the ultimate information guide to the topic. It does offer coping information and suggestions on dealing with the day to day. But I would certainly not say that is the primary focus. If you are having trouble coping, need help with day to day, etc I would suggest reading a book that focuses on that, something shorter so you can get help faster. Then, definitely go back and read this because all the information will help you help them, understand them and make crucial decisions about their care.

As soon as I read a book that focuses more on the help and dealing with the day to day aspect I will post information on that as well.
